An appeal has been launched to find a segway which was stolen from a circus at Wythenshawe Park.
Circus Funtasia have been rehearsing at the park ahead of their show, which begins on Friday 14 February.
Organiser, Tracy Jones, says the £300 segway, which is part of her 16-year-old daughter’s juggling act, was stolen on Friday night.
She is appealing for information after her daughter Nia, has been left unable to rehearse for her upcoming performance.
Tracy says the park is usually locked over night, but believes thieves managed to break-in and steal the segway from the circus tent.
“My daughter does a juggling act dressed as Harley Quinn,” Tracy said.
“Last night we were rehearsing all day and she left her segway in the big top last night as the park is usually locked.
“We went to get it this morning and it was gone.
“She is absolutely gutted about it. It’s a big part of her act and she can’t practise without it.”

Tracy says she believes thieves managed to break in to the park and stole the segway as it would be easy to sell on.
Nothing else was stolen from the tent.
“We go all over the country and spend a lot of time in Manchester,” Tracy said.
“Normally we don’t have any problems and people are lovely.
“We have been coming here for years and nothing like this has ever happened before.”
Tracy says she hasn’t reported the theft to police due to a lack of CCTV, but plans to step up security at the circus.
“We’re going to have to install our own CCTV inside the tent overnight so this doesn’t happen again,” she said.

“We bought the segway from a company in Manchester and they have kindly said they will give us a discount on a new one.
“But we are hoping someone knows where it is.”
